ROOTED WITHIN
A Vision of Inner Cosmos
Rooted Within began as a meditation many years ago. In that vision I became the Tree of Life. My roots reached deep into the earth, and inside my body there was an entire universe. My heart felt like a central sun. My branches connected to something vast, but it did not feel distant. It felt like home.
I remember seeing a bridge of crystal light — something that connected space, time, and dimensions. I moved through it and found myself in deep water that was also filled with stars. The ocean was dark, but not frightening. It shimmered with millions of points of light. It was both depth and sky at once.
In this painting, the figure lies within that same field. The water reflects the night, and the night reflects the water. What appears above also lives within. There is no separation between body and cosmos — only reflection and memory.
The spiral at her center marks the quiet place where everything gathers. It is not dramatic. It is steady. Roots extend downward into earth and memory, while branches reach outward and inward at the same time. She is not rising. She is not escaping. She is resting in the understanding that nothing is missing.
Rooted Within is not about transcendence. It is about recognition — the moment you realize the universe does not surround you; it moves through you. It is about soft strength, about being held without losing your grounding, about remembering that vastness and stability are not opposites.
It is a remembered creation — a vision that waited years before taking form.
